adding fabrics to your scrap book pages. You can go to any kind of sewing store. If you've
been a quilter, you may have some of these things laying around.
You can even use pieces
of shirts or things like this. The cool thing about fabrics is they're thin enough like
a paper. They come in so many different colors and patterns. You can also add a neat look
just by pulling a string on the edge, and it sort of frays it and gives it a different
look.
You can get samples. This happens to be a sample for curtains that I was able to
get for free. It's going to be neat to use for a mat for a photo or just to enhance the
page. Corduroy gives a neat textured look, so you can use that.
It'll be neat on a western
or cowboy kind of page if you have your little boy dressed up as a cowboy. Burlap is fun.
It comes in many different colors and it's nice to fray. I use burlap in this page because
it had an autumn feel to it. It kind of gives that kind of feel.
I just use little squares
of it. I also use just regular material here. I found some pumpkin material that went good
with my theme. This is a strip of leather that I found with sewing on it.
As you can
see, it doesn't add a lot of weight to your page, but it adds a neat depth and just really
gives a neat visual look. Rage your fabric stores. Rage your closets and I'm sure you'll
find some fabrics to use on your pages..
