Tutorial Scrapbook Mini Album Folder sin Papel DecoradoScrapbooking Fcil Luisa PaperCrafts

Hello! How are you? In today's video we will make a mini album folder without scrapbook paper. We are going to need: cardstock, in this case I am using letter size, washi tape or decorative tape, ruler, cutter, scissors, glue and whatever you want for decoration. Optional: punch, eyelets, elastic ribbon and contact paper. First: Cut the cardstock in half Let's join the two pieces with washi tape, I'm leaving a quarter of an inch of space.

First I will hold them to prevent them from moving. Remove a little bit of the tape adhesive before you paste it to avoid mistreat the cardboard when taking the tape off Be sure to use a tape with good glue to join the pieces, If you do not have it you can apply glue before or use strips of cardstock Paste washi tape on both sides. This way we will have a more resistant and flexible spine. Take another sheet of cardstock cut it a little narrower than the base.

Set it horizontally and make a mark in the middle, starting from that mark we measure an inch to the right and another to the left. In vertical we measured a half of an inch. Join the lines and cut, this will be the entrance of the pocket. To give more view round the corners.

Do not forget to erase the pencil lines. To stick the pocket to the base, cut two strips of an inch by the width of the pocket. Fold them in half, cut the corners diagonally. Put one on the top and the other on the bottom aligning the edges well.

Before I paste it I will put washi tape on the 4 edges. I recommend doing this to protect your album, if you are not going to use paper contact. As I rounded the corners I also have to do it on the washi tape. Make cuts like this on the corners and start to fold.

I will do the same on the three remaining edges The corners will be thicker and that is okay so they do not get damage so fast. I'm going to cut another piece of cardstock, As you see I do not measure I just make a mark with the pencil where I will cut. I will draw lines half of an inch away from the left and right edges. On these lines I will draw 3 more with a separation of 2 inches between each one.

It's going to look like this. Let's make a cut down the line we draw and another on the line. These will be the slots where we will insert tags. Detach the remnants.

Put washi tape right at the edge of the slots to prevent it from being opened further. I also added washi tape up and down, Put adhesive only on the edges and stick on the pocket. This part will go on this side. I will not stick it yet, I'll do the left part first.

Take another cardstock and fold it in half. I make a mark with the pencil where I am going to cut. It's going to be like this and from this side I will make a pocket as we did with the first one. Cut two strips of cardstock, fold them in half, cut the corners diagonally.

I measure the center and from there I measure one inch to the left and another to the right. Half of an inch down and cut. Stick the strips of cardstock to the sides. If you don't want to open this part you can make the pocket by placing the strips of cardboard up and down and cutting the left side.

Here I have my front cover, only with some stickers that I framed with white gel pen. I will apply contact paper to protect it. I round the corners, I make cuts and fold, just as we did with the washi tape. For the tags I will use scraps of cardstock, I put marks where I'm going to cut and make sure they slip through the slots.

To add the elastic ribbon I will use my Crop A Dile, The perforations are two centimeters away from the edge. To secure the tips I will use eyelets, if you do not have it, you can glue them with silicone or sew them by hand. I'm using double-sided tape to stick my pockets to the base, especially on the side where the contact paper is, but where there's not contact paper I will use white glue If you did not add contact paper you can use white glue on everything. You could also use a clamp or ribbon to close.

My project is finished As you see I did not use decorated paper, only stickers, washi tape and my white gel pen, I wanted to do it because I got comments where some of you tell me that it is difficult to get scrapbook paper. Mandalas would also be beautiful in the corners. I did not measure the big labels I just made marks with the pencil and cut. This is a very simple mini album or folder that I hope will inspire you.

Scrapbooking with Close To My Heart White Pines Collection

Hi, I'm Monica, with Close To My Heart. With
the holidays on their way, you're sure to need some papercrafting options
to spruce up your projects. Well, look no further; the
White Pines collection will be the perfect fit for all your upcoming projects, whether wintery, holiday-themed, or not. Let me show you why.

Here you can see the beautiful designed paper,
the background and texture paper we have here. Look at these wonderful trees more of a traditional Christmas tree here. I love the added Cranberry
color. It really just makes that paper pop.

The candy cane stripped
trunk, and then notice this wonderful tree right here next to this. I love this added element to this paper packet. You can see
that same tree design, here, on this page but without all the added textures
or different design elements. And so it makes it very subtle, and a beautiful, beautiful, simple page.

Again, we have more of the holiday style papersyou've
got here some snowflakes, and little holly berries, and leaves really fun. Of course, the ric-rac, is really,
really, really, sweet as well. And what I love about this paper pack is this added blue paper and design. I think I feel like this really pulls it into a different
direction, and more of a winter, non-holiday feel, if
you will.

Also included with our featured paper here, you can see we have cardstock. We have Cranberry, Fern, Colonial White, and Chocolate.
So I just wanted you to know the added elements with this wonderful paper packet. Now, of course, no paper packet at Close To My Heart is complete without the added Complements and assortments, and even a stamp set. So I wanted to show you first, these wonderful
Complements you can see here.

These die-cuts are kraft, and we have the plastic. Just, really different sizes of icons, and elementslet me just flip this over
so you can see. Look at this; isn't that just precious? That cute little reindeer, and the baby reindeer, and you've got some Christmas trees, and "hello DECEMBER" sentiments; so much variety and versatility within all of these wonderful, well-thought out added Complements that go with White Pines. Look at thatisn't that fun? That's just
a little sampling of them.

So let me just flip this over really quickly
so that you can see the sticker Complements that go with it as
well Here you've got, I mean, look at these adorable
animals the moose, I think, is my favorite, because
I love the ornaments hanging off of the horns there.
So, so, fun! You can see the Christmas tree element as
well. You've got some beautiful red Cranberry flowers,
different sizes, and leaves. And, let's look at this one. Oh, look at this, this is a tree trunk design.

And you can see ornaments as well, some tags; look at these borders, there's just so much
variety within the Complements. I love it! We think of everything! So, not only do we have those really fun Complements,
that I've just shown you let me just move those out of the way here. We also have these enamel gems. And there's three different shades of red, so you've more of a deeper, a little bit of
a medium, and then the really bright holiday red here.

So really great to add a little more bling and dimension to your
project. And then we do also have the Fern twine here. Just a fun way to tie your projects together. All right, so let me move those out of the
way.

I also have, this assortment. Here we have our badge buttons, you can seearen't they
just wonderful? You've got this larger size, and
then a smaller size, all different designslook
at this precious owl holding that little present. Just really fun, added things to add to your White Pines collection. Okay.

So I also want to show you, this beautiful page over here, you can see. Let's look how I pulled the whole
collection together. So here you have this one-page layout, and look at this how all of the background
and texture papers come in so beautifully, and even using that wonderful white tree as the base of this page. Now notice I've added the badge buttons, and the
really wonderful but I've also added some stamping elements as well.

As well as it is here. So I want to show you just really quickly that wonderful stamp set. It is so adorable you're going to love it. It's called Miracle
of Christmas; and look at these fun little animals that
you can stamp and color in, candy canes, ornaments; so these
are the two that I've used on my layout.

So now let's quickly look over at these cards and you can see how I stamped those animals, and then by using our watercolors, colored those in. Such a
fun added element. And you can see that the Complements
are also part of this cute card, and of course, my Fern twine, 'cause I'm tying it all together. And now
let's look at this fun card.

There's my cute little reindeer, and he's got a red nose, with that enamel gem, oh my goodness, that is so precious! And you
can see how the stamp sets all tie together. Now let's go look and see at this page one
more time, because I want to show you something really
cool that I. Did. It's a technique that I'm about to show
you, and that's the distressed look around these around these photos.

So you can see it's a great way to frame the photos, and it's really, really,
really simple to use. So let me move this stuff out of the
way. And I've got two tools that I'm going to be using actually, threebut I'm going to show you first, using our micro-tip scissors. And by using our micro-tip scissors, and just going along the edge of the cardstock, you will see that distressed look come to
life.

Close To My Heart's um, cardstock has a white
core, and it really helps to bring in that distressed
look. I love that! And we have purposefully done the white core because we print our colors
to get our perfect colors onto the cardstock! So we can have
our own exclusive color palette. Another option is using this distressing tool here, and again, this one, you know, depending on the pressure and how quickly you do it, you can see how
it folds up the edges there, right there. So
some different ways.

And my third way is just using my fingernail. And I can do it um, it's not as intense as the scissors, or
the distressing tool, but by working it through, you can see that
it shows the white core cardstock, as well as giving you that distressed look. So three different ways to make this fun and awesome distressed look, and I love how it's just framing my photos
just right. All right, also as part of our White Pines collection, we
have the Picture My Life cards.

And so for the
Picture My Life cards, I want to show you here, look how fun these are! They also have these really fun holiday designs, but they also have a day, every day in December printed on some of the cards! So you can see here, let's see, this one says "DEC 11," you can see that fun geometric shape. There's sentiments: HAPPY, JOYFUL, DECEMBER,
TWELFTH." And we have journaling cards. Of course weve got the sizes of 4"  6", and the 3"  4"; just a really, really, great
way Here, let's look at this one really quick,
DEC 1. Wouldn't it be great to take a photo every
single day in December? And then put them inside of your Picture My
Life White Pines collection? Really a wonderful
way to preserve the holidays; it will be really special.

So we have all of the days in December, All right, now I'm really excited to show
you this next part, because, if you're loving this collection, you know you can take it, outside of the holiday realmI'm going to
show you how. So let's look over here, you can see this
one- page layout right here. Look at this: by adding
in the White Daisy cardstock, and some other colors I have Peacock here, and we have Slate ink, and Slate cardstock, and the word "SMILE," it really changes the look and feel of this paper collection. I'm using the same B&Ts out of White Pines, but adding those cardstocks really
takes it in a whole new direction.

All right, so here
I've showed you the one-page layout. Now let me show you this card. Same concept. It's that really pretty blue B&T design and paper, and Ive even used some of the Complements that have come
with that collection.

But again, I've added Peacock, Ive added some Slate
cardstock, and look at how it really changes the look
and feel of the whole kit. So those are just a few examples of the many ways you can make White Pines work at any time or any season. So get your hands on the

Scrapbooking Tutorial Special Mother's Day Part I

Hello princes and princesses   as I had said I'll do the tutorial   Album folder, not to call it   I hung yesterday on facebook and youtube for you to see, well I do it because in two parts   It has many measures, many courts. Then I'll make the first structure   and then the decor.   But first of all I want to send greetings today   first to April   it's a girl I fell in love from the first day   I love her a lot   It has a niggle to see if together we can help. It took her bracelet that I will put a link on your facebook page   which it is "committed abril" I wish you all a look you echaseis   and that together we can help a little   because it is a heaven, is a charming your mother is all strength   and so from here I make this appeal the case is that this is a volunteer who wants to me anamoro and could not stop saying   I'll do a drawing, good is not a lottery is a game, let's do a little game   and during the video I'll put the bracelet bet April April, I'll put in   some sections of the first half and three   they find that minute is sent it by mail.

It is a bracelet   also very cute and also if we are contributing, helping to April   from here a big kiss for April.   I also want to greet Jesus okay? Who is the son of Herme   which it is also a special child like so many special children   from here he sent a big kiss because I know you see me, and her mother also, you know that whatever you need'm here   I also want to send greetings to rabines target the other day he told me that he would thrilled   greeted him in a video, in this case is a girl from Peru   that follows me as many girls who follow me from across the pond but today I send a   greeting her. A very strong peck you know that also you need'm here   and I wanted to make a point because Cristi, you're right nails yesterday did not fit anything right! That pink   It is terrifying as much as I like the pink nail that not I look good. And today I have put me red for you, stop not miss me   And so you see I'm still me, I no longer see strange.

After all this   let's start doing what measures and structures   Please take boli paper because it has many steps although you have all pointed then you go past the I can if you want   but for now I'll show you how it is if you needed after video me say it?   We will need good, I'll go removing things that are many many. So   let's start by what the structure, which is the structure and I say that is   a large bone album has eleven inches wide and then with the flaps increases much more   Well, I will use this table We R   and I will use because I have become addicted to it so that the DIGE again because they have all marked measures and you will be much more   easy .This is all in inches project I talked to Scrappiolgy   which it is a Ms. English that you have asked me to do this tutorial   because some you do not know English or not entendiais many things then I asked permission to do so, she has me   said yes without any problems, then I put a link to your channel   and anyway she became one baby, I'll do my version same as I did yesterday was my version   and also because the notes of the things that I think can change if you want it? It is not necessary but will be some   I prefer to put other things. Then we started we will need   I now what I do with kraft cardboard because I wanted to change a little bit, and we'll need one of 11 inches by 2 1/2   okay?   One of eight   eleven and a half inches, this is the base down   two   two   6 and a half inches by 8 inches and a half ok?   One that will be the top flap 11 by 6 1/2   11 and one of nine inches and 1/4   OK, then, this would be so   eleven is nine inches by one quarter   as far nine 1/4 fijaros here today puts it down a little so that ye see him, we will mark   in half inch   in an inch and a half   two inches   and then 2 1/8   2 1/4   and 2 3/8   why I like this table okay? Why are you here all numbered   no loss this would be one   in eleven inches by six inches and a half   to the extent 6 1/2 would mark exactly half inch   an inch and a half   two inches and 1 / 8,1 / 4   3/8   the two sides only I am going to make one, one is on one side and the other is from another   then here would, this is eight and a half inches by 6 inches and a half   the six-inch and a half we scored a half inch   one-half inch, 2,   2 1/8, 2 1/4 and 2 3/8   this would not need to make is the basis and in this either, and now let's ride what is the structure   I'm going to remove this for a second ...

And I will move this   First, this is the bottom right? That is what so close   this is the top is what closes, then we mark   this   and this   the two, which is a flea and half inch 1/2   And the other does not mark lack, to give a little way comes, that's what it is going to do   as it rounded? Just like the other   and there..   Okay?   We give it a shape pocquito   so now we have rounded   and the two side equal   Y...   I'll give it some shape, fijaros that those 3 does not mark a long   so you just bear with the way we will do and how   folder you want. And other like   and again mark   you see? And now what we have to do is paste   This I will stick with Tacky that has to be very very very subject you know   then we take the Tacky   there...

I'll take a tissues   here   and paste.   I do not recommend this sin with double-sided tape   because otherwise we may be off to open or close open or close we may be off   I'll take my tweezers, that good really were not mine, Julia gave me, like clips   thank you very much, roses were as clear as I became infatuated of ellasy has given me   thank you very much Julia!   And then I'll hold there   and I'll hold here   okay   this would be one   I will separate as I made the glue   We cast inside it? Always inside fijaros   there   kraft although it made the other day I did with cardboard 240 grams   but I'll give a vintage touch to this   binder   put a man because I do not know how we can call the truth   ok, here and here ..   Adjusting well in esquinita   and tweezers   here   and here   fijaros, this is already the structure   You see?   Folder, now we have to make the sides to strengthen us and then we have to open the burst of surprise   you have this folder   exactly the same   to see if you see here ...   And I say to say that this is huge   projects such as those you like most, major projects   there   and in this case we go to a side   and there   and I'm going to do is close   altogether   to put the clamp   okay   I'll take some clip more, this   kraft paperboard   is super stiff ok? There   other than by tweezers   and the other side exactly the same   The downside of this kraft cardboard, being so fat, is that stampers hand as ok do not cut the edges?   But good Azu cut it with EK, I think   he gave strong   and could cut but hey I risk not much for me is not spoil the punch   then I'll just make the corners with corner ok?   Anyway at the other cardboard troquel either bone that   it does not worry me   we turned there   and the same   and while I dry this   I'll show you how the interiors are made   This let it dry ...

Now as it dries we can open the other tabs, this we will let it dry there   and we go to the interiors. Well, fijaros, we all   then, before this, this will be the last to do   and this, I will do on accordion, an envelope carrying two 3D, well I am going   teaching how does one ok? And internal cards   an envelope goes in the background and   spine binding that takes six envelopes you can put more but on the other I did as she did in scrappiology   and I will do the same this. Then we return to our table   and we will need for on accordion   a card of 9 x 6   and the nine   we will mark   half inch inch   one-half inch to two inches and two and a half inches   okay? If you give turns around but I can give the what I say here, here would be 6 1/2   7   7 1/2   8   and 8 1/2 total of five stripes   five half-inch stripes   and on top we need   a card eight and a half inches by 4 and we have to score at 2 1/4   and two   1/2   This out there, now what do we do? We turned the accordion, and I tell you this is super stiff   we turned there ..   And we turn here   now, so yes, this hard ....

But it will be tough, not me I'll believe. Fijaros this is the part of the envelope you see? With an accordion   then we will stick down here, down just to make us up the accordion effect   on the flap   let's bend   the two brands that have   here and there   Notice that we have   a kind of flap in 3D, is we colgadita   and now what we have to do is put it in the last fijaros, there   there   and there   and paste   okay   just stick here   We stick on the flap   in the last but inside flap   here and there   we adjust well   I'll have to take more clamps   I'll adjust where more resistance odrece see? That out there and exactly the same on the other side   I'll take a pair of tweezers a jiffy   This is a project ...   Many grippers   and on the other hand as   inside   we do not forget   there   Over there...   And do not say that it is not by tweezers ok?   You see? We have the envelope   with cap   also we are going to leave and now I say as would stick here and here   okay?   Continue   with   the other on   which in this case it is an envelope carrying a solapita   I already tell you that you can do it without flap up as I did in the other, or both as this   and we will need   a card of eight inches and a half for five 1/4   and in the next five 1/4 on this side we will mark half inch   3/4   and one inch   three lines.

And in 8 1/2   we will mark two   and two 1/4   and six   and six 1/4   okay?   Once we have it and we catch scissors   and we will remove this entire chub   there...   They are not worth us   this whole chub   there   Here I left a piece to the end right?   And east of here are three lines a gordita   this also we remove   we all double   all lines have the bend your   these two exactly equal   one for here now to see if I can bend this ... And another around here   we have to be something like   We climbed the pestaita a bit   and glue on the plaster cast is what we have   in this fold   Y   I here if I have to be a little hand holding why good, take a little time to dry   okay   there...   And now exactly the same   but only let's take   to ver..Suelta, let me go ..

Just let's take here   and here   okay?   And we will stick there   I'm going to put another tweezers   above   so I would not entertain much here   there, you see?   I'll hold a little here so you do not get off, fijaros left an envelope in 3D   you see?   And now we will make the pestaita. I will try to put a clamp crush here without much   there you see? If a clip that does not have much force you can put   I leave here a little   and we go for   the solapita, okay? Carries a flap   that will go here it will be to close   then, the flap is   one-half inch by three inches and a half   and you cut in three and a half inches   mark   to one-half inch and 1 3/4, the dablais, haceis the fold ...   And this is what I would do, I'll see if I can put here   to see if I can hold   because it can not stick until you have decorated you not see? This is what would   the envelope with the solapita we're going to put a magnet   okay?   And since we have done that we do inside the cards I made double and in this case would be, a good two, I made two   you have to do two or four for each of you will have to make a quantity   of them but good I have done two so you can see at the moment, and we need   a card of nine 3 1/2 and we will score at 4 1/2   this will doblariamos, we have double   Y   the corner with which you will or a corner you would you do   the shape   and in this case as I want you to form card   down would leave round   You see? Then this   I get perfectly here, and closes with the flap   okay?   They also can cut now but would have to decorate and everything before placing them   Logically, then these do two for each of   there irian   and then we decorate all   and now we go to   background in the background an envelope   okay?   It takes an envelope just down I've got a card if you remember and for that we need a   cardboard five and a half inches by seven inches and half   okay?   And in five and a half inches to two centimeters mark   and the 7-inch half exactly the same   you see? Here to make the envelope where the two lines would cut and doblariamos join, but before that   I wanted to show that the girl gave him a way scrappiology the envelope   but hey I that I have a rule that you said to me fotofuse that will use the stones of swarowsky of lidl   as fotofuse, I have the fotofuse and not use anything, so if I use is much the rule, this rule I love   then inside it has a ways and what I do because it sought a party   I like more or less here and here I stay the same   and framework   let's make ...   Okay   you see?   I framework   and short   if you have a crowd of the big shot   big   you can use to do this, make you an edge monkey, I in my case in the other   use the rule of fuse because I say that has a cute drawing   and I liked how it was   or even if you have a mold, so you can use this horn as a template   for your next about it? You observe it and already have   mold.

Then this as iria? Iria well   and so it? And so you would have your envelope for background   and on this side of the book is a thorn six envelopes and I told you that you can put whatever you want it   I'll put six   and we will need these   and is a very very very easy thorn   This thorn you can attach to your regular projects albums   spine of binding but they are not as difficult as   This is a very easy binding   you require in six cardboards   six or eight of you please put but hey, I do not recommend more than eight   for this project six cardboards eleven inches by six 1/4 ok?   And as eleven inches   We would mark a 5 1/2 then all we have   the envelope fact   here we have six   and the spine is as follows   teneis, necesitais ...   A card two and a half inches for six 1/4   and which measures 2 1/2 going to make   half inch   four lines ok?   And you will be 1, 2, 3, 4 and five spaces ok? In these spaces it is where you are going to have to stick the spine   and necesitais   three cardboards six inches, 6 1/4   1 1/2 an inch and a half   and will you have to dial into half-inch   this is super tough and therefore be used martha   half inch and an inch and three Marcais okay?   Now we turn all   I, I like to make the spine with a decorated paper   what these bases thorn   you can do it with paper that you go to use for the project   I now will do so ...   But for decoration will surely put a decorated paper because that on the bottom of the spine is not paper or kraft paperboard only   although the kraft is not ugly   well, this and this   and this   Thorn seen in several ways to bind this, there are people   that their card cojen   I'll put here so that I have it painted case what I re. And pick your card and stick it in each section   first one, one no, one yes, one does not, one if it? There are people who do so and there are people who   They put first the envelopes, so I do ok? Lame   I miss good glue, thorns have to go very very well because then I stuck decis   There is the project up ...

This has to be glued to the maximum   we adjust well   one would go there, not soon shaken much   until it is dry not walk with solapitas and tabs for here and there, then you will see that is a perfect spine   and this here   there   and there   Also, as we have just measures we will be perfect   and the last tab   here   that's   while a little dry this fijaros that remains a thorn super   perfect, I mean millimetric as I like   I'll let it dry before you start gluing envelopes   and we had pending   the envelope accordion ok? I'm going to remove the clamps I think it is already ..If, it is stuck   and what we have to do is paste the bottom, then   I first made glue on little corners   inside   and out   there   there   and there   and the base below, on the line   for what   I also attach the bottom   if we are out clean it? Me me is coming but I do not want it that way   why   now clean   and I left me perfect, ok. We take tweezers   there   and just as the other side   clean   I have this glue sticks before and I all in the hands ...   And there, and now the bottom just like   we put a few grippers   back to clean ...   More in kraft enough glue is   and me is one thing I do not like, then we can scrape a little further, with nail file   you see? So would our on   we stuck, we're going to   we will push a little bit and this is where we will put fijaros magnet, here we will form the flaps   okay?   And decorate, I here you do about library because I do not like that it is so   high worth? I like that hollow look, you see what's inside   then this it would also   this is dry too, is the earlier, the pestaita, fijaros   I said, the tab's going to put here but until we finish we can not wear it   and now we will put the envelopes is what we need   to see how this this ..

Well I now I'll give you a little way and before hitting the envelopes   to one side   and other   vis..Ahi   let's make ...   Is very important that we are straight, because if not then the envelopes will be facing us   for Cuenca. Alhi then we would have and take the envelopes   we do, very easy   let's just stick   the envelope here   each tab in an envelope   and we just have to stick this and this is true?   Then we go here, we take on the esquinita   I'll support me   and here   We leave a whole lot without glue   and we go here   well well well we adjust the edge   there   and there   and paste   the same tweezers and many grippers   the most important thing is that we stay close fitting   there   I'll put another   okay   and part of here if we stain important please clean up before it dries ok?   Whether you see the bulges that you give, well Marcais   and re-clean   This paste it there, and here I'm going to put another tweezers on this side   continue   I'll put these stop there and continue to the next   we turn, we see that ... If we see that we have no perfect here we adjust to the corners   and when we return to mark, for us to look perfect   and the same   glue   on three sides except the top that will be in goal where the envelope   return to adjust   I got off ...

I like the project, in inches project because it is super accurate   and like most of us have   tables with inch mark, then you will come great   you see?   Exactly as this side   we go to there   always we mark the corners well marcaditas   and I'll put just one more because you see there is no science, no more science   and to not become too long but but that ye may know that the six or eight that you please put   six are made the same, just   it is this   Y   glue   and by the following   the same   here and here   clean   Y   tweezers   here and there, and here   we mark. Here is I get a little   cleansed   and we would have   three envelopes you see?   (Me engage the clamps)   fijaros, I would to put these three and   poneis perfectly without my   and I'll tell you exactly   How is everything   okay? This can already take off   forgiveness, and we can remove the clamps   there   okay   go collection of tweezers I have here   okay   fijaros   then you see that we have the perfect structure, this will be so and this will remain so   then background which will go is this here   I'll mark a bit because ...   This as a bit   hard   background would be here right?   The spine   goes here   It is what I say to you that from here to here is still a chub but hey, I liked it as she did that put six ok? This would go there   okay?   Is that we cut before I was eleven and a half inches by two is an envelope goes here   you see?   The envelope accordion   goes below   there   and 3D go on one here   not if you vis   it here before I drop this and other go there   see, that is so great that I get from camera, there   and this is what would be the structure   all this makes the album after album is a chubby and very resistant   I thought it was going to be a little weaker but is perfect see?   Notice that as with the inside and gets this way, and as has already decorated papers will be   much much better, I'm going to hold me all this here so you do not miss me   for the   for the next tutorial that is the decoration   not that papers will choose, I will choose a   you know very very very very romantic my roll   and I hope you like it, you you can with the measures that I will give later   you you can mold it to whatever you want, the colors, for example scrappiology used   a super modern roles baby, the book is fantastic   bone has been divine, I'd also love has many toes and a lot of things that go   lot with me ok? Not going to do the same project course she because that is too plagiarism   but hey, after giving me permission to do what is the structure of the rest and I take care   as I said and as I have asked, you said to me give me your version for this project, because without any problem I do,   I thought it was not going to like it as much as I liked, I loved   and nothing, if you liked to give Like ...   Share as always, that ye do always know, always, always.

Any doubt as   You know where I am, and you write me and ask me anything ...   That we are in the next tutorial. A little kiss .

Scrapbooking Tutorial Special Mother's Day Part I

Scrapbooking Tutorial #8 The D-ring, Strap Hinge, and Post Bound Albums

(Thump) You cant judge a scrapbook by its cover. Scrapbooking is the best way to capture memories and make them last a lifetime But how do you get started
without spending a fortune? Pages for the Ages is here to help you out! Scrapbooks come in all different shapes and sizes... And this can be a little daunting
for new scrapbookers. I met a lovely woman this weekend
named Adrianne who asked me, How do you know which type of scrapbook to choose? Well, Adrianne, we'd love to
answer your question...

So in this weeks Pages for the Ages tutorial we'll be covering three different types of scrapbook albums. Those types are: d-ring, strap hinge, and postbound. Now, these names refer to the
type of binding which keeps the scrapbook pages within the scrapbook. Youll see what I mean.

Lets take a closer look at the d-ring album. Heres an example of a d-ring
scrapbook album that I own. Now, don't be fooled by cover. Um, it's a very boring cover, but...

There are plenty of d-ring albums out there which have leather bound or fabric covers; ones with lots of colors and detail work. Now, this is the perfect album for
a brand new scrapbooker because its basically a 3-ring binder. So, the type of thing that
you've used in school. It's very simple to use and very familiar to a lot of people.

In fact, I actually owned a d-ring photo album before
I got into scrapbooking. So, all you need in order to put your pages into this book, um... Is a page protector that has
three holes in it. Here's one here.

I didn't even go to a
craft store to get this. Actually, went to a local office supply store and they sell Sheet Protectors which are Archival Safe
which is important and they were only a few dollars. This is by the brand Avery so that might be one you can look up on the internet. In case you're wondering, d-ring gets it's name from (snap) when the rings are closed.

Looks kinda like a
capital "D". So, I'm going to show you
an example of a scrapbook page. All I have to do (snap) is put it into the protective sleeve... Oops.

...And then, clip that into the album. So this is actually the very first
scrapbook page that I. Ever made, back in elementary school and now it's been clipped
into my d-ring album. So, if you're ever interested in purhcasing a Pages for the Ages premade scrapbook page, you can fit these into a a 12 x 12 inch d-ring scrapbook album and all you have to do is clip it into the album.

Our next type of scrapbook album is the strap-hinge scrapbook album. Im showing you this one second, because its the second type of
scrapbook album I tried to use. It became pretty popular
I think in the 1990s, or, at least, that's when
I was using them, but I believe that they are
going out of style entirely. I'll tell you why a little later.

I do want to show you, at least, how vastly different this is
from the d-ring ablum. This is the strap and
that's what keeps the pages in. In order to use a strap hinge album you have to buy a special type of paper. This is the paper and it has these little staples on the side.

So, there are two staples and that's what the strap goes through in order to keep the page
in the book. So, that means you're actually going to build your scrapbook page right here on the white space
in the middle and then you buy a page protector like this one and
notice how it's different than the last one we looked at. It just covers the middle section here. So that means if you were to buy my premade scrapbook pages, this cover would be useless.

You would have to be
throwing out the page protector and then you would have to adhere my scrapbook page to the strap-hinge page in order to make it fit into that type of album. So, the reason I no longer use strap-hinge pages is that some of these staples over time have come out on me. When people are turning the pages there is sometimes pressure put
on that hinge and as a result, some of
the staples have come out and there's really no good fix for that so I don't recommend this type
of album any more. (Music) Here is one of my
postbound scrapbook albums and the premade pages my company sells are perfect for this type of album.

The posts that hold the pages together are hidden here behind this flap. These are the back of the posts.... And... ...Here is the front.

Now, these can be  a bit tricky
to take out when you need to add additional pages. If the screws on the posts are screwed in tight,  I sometimes
use a flathead screwdriver to unscrew them. Today, I'm just going to
use my fingers and show you what these posts look like when they're taken off. Okay.

I have disassembled my post bound scrapbook album. I already showed you the posts
and what they look like. Now I'm going to show you
how to put this back together. So, first thing, I would take all of my scrapbook pages and line them up with the posts
and just put them down.

I'm only going to put down one,
but put down all of your scrapbook pages onto the posts. Next, your srapbook usual comes with these little, flimsy cardboard things. They're supposed to be for reinforcement. So put that on top of the
last scrapbook page and then you take the back cover which has holes in it and you line those holes up
with the posts.

And, the last thing you
have to do is take your screws, which we
took out earlier and screw them back in by hand or you may want to consider using
that flathead screwdriver again. Now, I love that the post bound
scrapbook album hides all of this going on underneath. You don't have to see that. It's very aesthetic that way.

Another thing I really like about the post bound scrapbook album is, it's expandable. That means, if I have
sooo many scrapbook pages that they actually go all the way up to the top of this, I can buy expandable posts and I'll show you those little guys. Here are two of them. These usually come with
post bound page protectors.

They come with the refill packets, but if need some you can also check out my online store. I'm going to be putting those in soon and you can get them at a
pretty decent price. So, these just screw in on top and... Voil!  Now my post is
twice as big and I would do the same procedure to put the
album back together.

So now you've learned
a little bit about the d-ring, strap-hinge, and
postbound scrapbook albums. Now, Im going to tell
our U.S. Viewers what prices these can be bought at and at which locations. I did a quick price comparison
this weekend of three stores.

Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and Walmart. I discovered that the d-ring album is available at Hobby Lobby and Michaels. The price varied according to
the detail work of the cover. However, Hobby Lobby had the larger selection and they were usually about $19.99.

As I said before, I dont recommend the strap hinge album. I believe its going out of style. I was only able to find it at Hobby Lobby. If you're interested, however, Hobby Lobby does sell a brand called "The Paper Studio" and the price ranged between $19.99 To $24.99 Depending on the album cover.

Finally, post bound scrapbooks abound! You can find them at all three locations. Walmart sells a brand called Colorbk and those are $10. They don't have any
detail work on the album, however. It's just plain primary colors
to choose from.

At the other two stores
Michael's and Hobby Lobby, the price was $19.99
Or more depending... ...Once again, on the album cover. Between the two stores, I would recommend Michael's. They have a larger selection.

Their brand, ReCollections, comes
in almost any color imaginable. Plus, they have tons of choices with detail work on the album covers. Also, Michael's usually runs more sales on their scrapbook albums. I hope this tutorial has given
you a little introduction to the different types of
scrapbook albums which you might want to
use to preserve your memories.

Realize, there many, MANY
other types of scrapbook albums and mini albums out there to choose from and we'll continue to cover
those in future episodes. Id like to thank Adrianne again
for sending us her question. For anyone watching the show, feel free to send us scrapbooking
related questions. You can even post them
in the comments below.

I'm Jennifer Neumann from Pages for the Ages Scrapbooking. Thanks for joining us for
our weekly tutorials. Have a happy, scrappy week. (Music).

Scrapbooking Tutorial #8 The D-ring, Strap Hinge, and Post Bound Albums

Scrapbooking Process Holiday Cheer Layout

Hi, I'm Jill with Close To My Heart, and
today I want to walk you through a process video of putting together a
scrapbook layout from start to finish. To get started today, I am starting with my
photos. These are gems of photos that are really special to me because they're me
and my friends. You may recognize a few of them.

And over the years at our employee Christmas party every year, we take a photo as a group. And so this represents five years of these Christmas parties. But I've never actually
scrapbooked these photos because I just have one from each year. And so today I wanted to put all of them on to one layout.

And so the photos are definitely
my inspiration to get started. I went through my Make It from Your Heart book, Volume Three I'm using today. And I landed on Pattern #7, because here you can see all these photos just in a row, and that's what I'm going for-- I just want to show the progression of these years, and our friendship. And so I'm using this pattern, because I love these photos.

Now on this pattern, it does show 3" x 4"s that are vertical and 4" x 6" photos, but that wasn't what worked for me. And so I'm still using this concept but all of my photos are 3" x 4" horizontal photos. And you'll see, I think that's all gonna work, I'm gonna be able to just layer them and get that same look, even though I don't have these exact photo measurements. So, when you're looking at patterns and what you want to be the pattern that you're working with, remember that you can adapt
any of these things that don't work for the photos you have, or the papers you
have.

These are great places to get started, but you don't have to follow them exactly if your project needs a little tweaking. Just use it as a great inspiration. So Pattern #7 is going to be my inspiration and guidance to get this project going. Another thing that I did a little bit in advance was, using our new stamp and thin cuts of the Christmas paper doll (Z4053 - Christmas Paper Doll Stamp + Thin Cuts) because this was so perfect.

I have four people in photos, I've got this one girl, two dresses... And she is so much fun to use because it's all coordinated with thin cuts, so it's so easy to put together. I was able to just stamp and cut these out. The stamps overlap a little bit, so that you have no edge at the end, so when you stamp these, it'll come off nice and clean, and
your dress will cut out.

So really easy and fun to use! I did this in advance because it does take a little bit of time, but it was the
best creative time! So here's my little Monica doll, and my Jill doll, and I've got a Tiffany and Yvonne. So you can see again---same girl, and just the two dresses, but by using my different ShinHan Touch Twin Markers, I was able to do a little darker
skin, a little darker hair, a little variation to the dresses. So that it makes it look like four really fun, unique people. I also went ahead and did everything else that was in the stamp set, because I didn't know what I'd want
to use.

So I did the presents...There's a banner, and there's a bunch of ornaments. There's also a fun little bird that I don't know if I'll use on this project, but again this one stamp set and thin cuts allows you to have all of these pieces. And it was so fun to put together! It took me about 35-40 minutes to cut, color, and all of that, but I just watched a show, and had a great time making these
dolls feel like me and my friends there. So I know I want to use these on my project.

So the next thing would be deciding what paper to use, which is really hard, because right now, at Close To My Heart, we have two beautiful holiday paper packs! So I've got a little bit of each of those here: there's Silver & Gold (X7226B - Silver & Gold Paper Packet), which has beautiful gold foil papers and black and silver. And to be honest, I'm going to hoard a lot of this paper, even after this paper pack dies, because these patterns I would use mixed into a million different projects! These gold foil papers are perfect! You've got these black and white stripes, and black and white polka dots... All of these neutrals... That really would
mix and match with anything.

So stock up on this! I will just keep this off to the side and pull it in anytime I need a little pop of these neutrals here. So, I know that I want to use Silver & Gold,
but Beary Christmas (X7225B - Beary Christmas Paper Packet) I mean, hello! This is so adorable! You've got all these fun patterns, and you've got the traditional Christmas colors going on in this kit, and these awesome PML (Picture My Life) cards that you can cut up and use as embellishments or as titles. But all these other patterns... Look at that red stripe...

I don't even know honestly how I'm going to decide what to use, but we're just gonna get started, and see what comes of it. Alright, I'm going to start with White Daisy (1385 - 12"  12" White Daisy Cardstock) as my base, because I know I want to layer up patterns. My photos have a lot of color, these girls have a lot of color in them, so white is a good place to start for
the base. And then if I'm referencing this pattern, I basically need a pattern paper here, and a pattern paper that will be the skinny strip, so I'm going to quickly fan through these.

And I can tell you right now I know that I want to use this gold stripe foil! I love the diagonal stripe... I love the pop that that gives. And then I don't know about using any more of these
patterns, but I do know I want some color brought in from all the reds and greens I have going on. So I wouldn't use that one, even though it is probably my favorite in the pack, because I've got the stripe going on there, but there is
another red in here, that would give me some heavy weight and some big pattern as well as some small pattern by using that red.

And then if I want to go green, I've got this, but again that feels similar in scale, so I'm going
to see what else I can work with. Alright, so none of these have green on them, but the back side of this has green, so I think I'm gonna go with this paper and this side, because then again I've got balance and scale by using all three of
these together, so we're gonna try that, and see how it goes. I think I'll use the gold as the heaviest, boldest part of the paper, so this is from referencing the pattern. This is going to be a 2" strip on the top of both the left and the right page.

This is going to be a two-page layout, to
cover all these photos and all the fun embellishments I have to put on. So I've
got those pieces cut for the top of both sides, and then I need a 1 1/4" for
each of those sides as well, so we're gonna cut two of these. So this is the bottom strip on both pages. So that'll be what I use of the gold, and then of the red this is going to be a 1/2", which when I do a 1/2", I like to use the other end of the paper trimmer, because I have more balance on this side.

So this is the 1/2" mark of your paper trimmer going this direction. So I need a 1/2" for each side left and right, and then I need a 3" piece of this same pattern to go at the bottom. I'm gonna do 3 inches... And then we'll see if I need the second piece of  paper for this that comes in this kit to get the green side.

The green piece is 1 3/4". I think I'm gonna be able to get it all out of one piece of paper. I've got 1 3/4" x 11", so this one's going to be just a little bit shorter. So again I'm just going to cut off an inch this direction, so these pages kind of mirror each other.

They're pretty identical, and it creates
just this elongated pattern, which I love for this two-page spread. Another thing I want to do is a zip strip. So I'm looking at the zip strips, and I think I'm going to use this gold "X" pattern here. And I think I'll need both of those.

So here's that second piece that comes in the Silver & Gold kit. And I'm just going to cut off the zip strip there, because I think I'm going to use that on
both sides. That's going to give me...I've got the gold stripe and this gold "X," that gives me in two places that I can bring in that pot of gold. So let's start assembling the page, now that everything's cut and ready to go.

I'll start by making the left page. So here's my 12" x 12" base, and this is what I love about using our how-to programs, is that you can easily assemble a page by just following those cutting diagrams. It takes all the guesswork out for me; I
know that that pattern is going to work. The hardest part was just choosing which
papers to use, and even that is just a fun part of the process.

So now it's just
putting it all together, and that goes really quickly. So the stripes go at the bottom, then here comes the red. There are words on this paper, so make sure you get them going the right direction. Okay, then from the top, down we're going to add the stripe again.

And then again the red. So I love how this is bringing together the traditional red and green of Christmas,
but adding just a touch of elegance with this gold that we're bringing in here, too. So then in the pattern there's a piece that just goes right here. So that's where that pop of green is going to come, and you can see how that really
balances out all the different patterns and these colors that I'm pulling into
this one layout.

So it's going to go just like this, and then the zip strip I think is just about a 1/2" short. I'm just going to grab my scissors rather
than my paper trimmer and cut that down, and adhere that right along the bottom. I love when you have patterns that just overlap like this, because it just gives you layers and a little bit of interest without being too overwhelming. So there's my left page! All I've got to do is add my photos.

But I'm going to go ahead and build the right page so then I can work with them side-by-side, as one continuous project. So let me just quickly glue down the same patterns and the same pieces on the right side. This half inch strip goes on again. I'm gonna pull the left page over so that I.

Can make sure that I'm getting that
lined up, and that they're equal on both sides. Just using my other page as my
ruler. Cut off a little 1/2" of this. All right, so now my left and right face pages are complete, and ready to start assembly.

So, the next thing I'm going to do is add the photos. So they again are just gonna go in this nice straight stream. I'm not even mounting these photos, because most of them have such a
solid black background to them, and the white would work, but doesn't really need
it, because I've got a white background. So I'm really just going to go with the
photos directly onto the page.

I think I'm going to put these three on this
side, since these two both have a really dark background. I'm putting this one in the middle. The years might not be in order, but it helps balance out the page that way, to make those photos these to ground this one here in the middle. So, I'm going to just go ahead and attach these, kind of tilted.

That's how it is in the pattern as well, and I kind of like that look. And you can see that even though I use different size photos, I can still fit them on this page no problem, just by converting that all to 3" x 4"s, across this way, then if they're going to continue on to this right page, I've got two more photos. I've got this lovely one from when I was pregnant but you've got to document all of it, right? And then this one was just this past year, so that's really fun to have those all come together on one layout. So there's all five of my photos.

And then
here is going to be a journaling block. So, I love to use my PML cards for
that. So I'm going to look at both the Silver & Gold PML and the Beary Christmas, and see what will work. So, you've got lots of options here.

I love the idea of pulling in this green one because that's going to give me another
pattern, and the green is just a little bit different, but I like that because that's going to help give just another little pop of pattern and color to that. So I think I'm gonna go ahead and trim out this 3" x 4" card right here. And yeah, I really like how that gives me
just another small fun pop of pattern, and that the green coordinates, but isn't
the exact same. I'm also gonna cut out this red "Ho Ho Ho" card.

I know already that it's too big to use as-is, but again it's bringing in some more red. So now I want to look for some journaling cards. I could use this star and cut it down but I feel like those stars might be heavy. This one could be cute to put my journaling on, or I could use that, but I don't know if I want the reindeer necessarily.

Another thing that I've thought of as I've been looking through these papers is this striped paper. I could use this every day on a project in some way! And another idea I had for this is using this as journaling line. So I'm going to cut it out and see if that's what I end up doing. I'm just gonna cut it to be a 3" x 4", and we'll see how that works.

I've wanted to try this so this is a great way to see how it plays into the project. So you can see that even just a striped paper could be used for something like a journaling card. So let's see how this is all gonna come
together. I'm liking these three options.

So again, I would want the journaling to end up being horizontal, because all my photos are horizontal so I don't want something that kind of breaks the line there. But I don't want that just by itself, because you can see that that gets totally lost. I'll pull it into the
center here while we're working on it. So I think I want some more pattern behind it.

I think I want to still pull in this green. I love that. So even though these are the same size cards, and this is as big as this can get because that's how it's printed, I could either shrink my journaling to fit centered on that and just cut another 1/4" off all the way around, but I think what I want to do is just go ahead and offset it, so that I just get enough of that green pattern poking through just like that. So because then the bottom of this is weighted on green already.

So yeah, that really works. And then I think I'm just going to use this red, just to get some red on the background. So yeah let's go with that. I'm going to adhere this down on top of this red.

Again, if you had cardstock sitting around, you could do it that way, but this works great because I already have these PML cards in part of the kit. So and I'm gonna have a little bit of the "Ho Ho Ho" words, and that's just fine. I'm cutting it off-screen, but I'll do it really quick, and bring it back in so you can see. So, really that looks like stripes, but it
might even get hidden by the time I put all this together.

I like that. I think I'm gonna go with that. So here's my journaling piece. Again, just layering pieces and adding texture and color, by mixing all of those together.

So this I'm going to just tuck a little bit further under my layers, And tilt it just a little bit, so that it
matches that. So there you go! That's how my journaling is going to come together, using that pattern paper as the stripe, adding two PML cards that can layer up
and just give me more pop and more layers of color there. So here's the spread. Now comes the fun part---figuring out all the embellishments on this.

So again, I have the Silver & Gold complements (X7226C Silver & Gold Complements), which I love, again because you can use those on tons of different projects! There's lots of words in here, and shapes, but also things that aren't Christmas-themed, so you could use this in lots of different ways. I'm going to look at all the complements here, and then see what works. So I've got these two sticker sheets, and all these pieces, as well as some badge buttons. So I think the first thing I need to do is get the girls on the page, because they are the ultimate part of my embellishment and the whole reason the theme that came for this whole page.

So I think I'm going to put them on the page here, on both sides, so that you can kind of just see them line up. And if you just kind of twist their arms in and out like paper dolls, you can make it look like they're just having their arms around each other. I'm gonna go ahead and put these down. Let's see how that works.

There we go. Just like that. I put these two at the bottom here, and these two on the bottom on the right page. Oh! You know what, I don't want to put the same two dresses together, so...

I should have named them already. Let's see, this will be good. There we go. So we've got the girls down, and that really is a ton of the embellishment that this page needs,
because that's where you want the focus to be--- on the photos, and the fun cartoon characters of the girls themselves.

So, I've also done the present, I'm going to
put that just right down here by their feet. We always give away amazing prizes
at our Christmas parties, so presents are appropriate there. And then I also have all these ornaments... I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to use those...

I think I want to get my title on first, and then figure out how to embellish from there. So I know that in this pack of glitter pieces, there is the word "Cheer," as well as the word "Holiday," and I think I want to put all of those on the page. Alright, so I've got "Holiday Cheer," and you know, even just looking at it right now, I can see how this could nestle; I love when my titles can nestle into each
other, because look at that "H" and how that gives me an open space. So I think I want to put "Cheer" below "Holiday," and make that all fit together.

So I'm going to adhere that really quickly... Okay, so you can see how nicely that all
fits together and feels like a finished piece. And then there are some other fun and gold embellishments in here. I've got a star, there's two stars, one that's open, one that's simple...

I think I want to just put this little star right in here, to kind of fill that cluster up. So I feel good about that as a title piece. And then I love these gold this gold Christmas tree. I've only got one strand that comes in this complements pack, but I am thinking I can just cut them a little bit.

I'll put them in pieces around the girls here. I'm gonna put four of them right here. I might be able to fit one...Yep, we'll do that one tucked right under her, so it looks like they just continue on behind them. And then on to the second page...

So when looking at your complements, think of how you can stretch them, how you can use them in other forms than how they look like they might be created for. It just gives you some fun, creative things to do there. I'm gonna put two under the present... Behind her...

Actually, I might pop the present off first... And then put the rest of them over here, and then look how long that makes it look like that Christmas tree banner was able to go, even though I just cut it into little pieces there. So I've stretched that all the way across the layout, and that gives me some gold down here, some gold shimmer up here. The next thing I'm gonna do is look at my sticker sheet.

So, I love this "Jolly" sticker, and that's going to give me a little pop of black. I've got a lot of black going on over here with the photos, and hardly any black on this side, so I think I'm going to balance that out by just adding that right down here in the corner. And that feels really good. And then I'm going to look at this...I love this little tag that says, "December Story," because this always happens every year in December, and that could help fill in this open space here, but that white-on-white isn't really going to work well, so I think I'm going to look through my scraps...

I still have this little bit left of the 12" x 12" piece that I cut up to make all those pieces, so I'm just going to mount this with just a little border, and then just hand-trim this... So that's going to help that pop and pull some green up to the top of my project. Just dovetail that... And there! That's really gonna help that have a good resting place, and some color that really helps pull that together.

So putting the "December Story" right into there, and look now how my title has multiple components, but it all feels
like one focal point right there. So I love that coming together. And then I think I do want to go ahead and put these ornaments on... They'll just be a fun
little detail.

And I have nothing going on on the top here, so I think I'm going to just put them scattered along... There is a stamp in the stamp set that
allows you to do the rest of the string coming down from ornaments. You can see it right here, there's just a tiny little stitch of a stamp, and you could definitely use that to elongate the stems, or the strings of these ornaments. I might just go ahead and use my journaling pen (Z1979 Marvy Uchida LePen Journaling Pen), which is another easy way to make that look like they're hanging, so they're not just dangling there.

So I've got three there... I think I'll do three over here, so balancing that out, in threes. I could easily put all six on the other side, but I kind of like it--- the continuity of them coming on to both pages of the layout. Okay, so I think I'm just going to take
my journaling pen, and something with a straight-edge...

A ruler would be great, but I
don't have one right here, so I'm just going to use a piece of paper... And then just add that little line, so that your ornaments are actually attached to the top of the paper. Okay, I'm actually also gonna put like a
little...Draw a little kind of bow... That makes it look like those are tied.

There we go! That's a fun embellishment,
and I think I'm pretty much there. I like how this is all coming together! You've got a lot of focus towards the center, then you've got the balance of putting
embellishment on the corners. The last thing I really think it needs, because I think almost every project needs this, is a little bit of gold shimmer. So this is going to be another fun way.

We have a gold shimmer pen (Z3316 Shimmer BrushGold), as well as a clear shimmer pen (Z3293 Shimmer BrushClear), so you can add just a little bit of sparkle to anything. But honestly, I keep this at the ready all the time, because I can find a use for it constantly! So this is just going to put out... I'll show you just how it looks when you just wipe it... It's just like gold glitter paint, basically.

You can just squeeze here when you need a little more, and you can see how that just adds shimmer. So I'm going to just coat my little white space here on this "December Story." That's going to help tie it in to the glitter pieces within the title. So that just adds just a little bit of shimmer. You might not be able to see it on camera, but you can see it really well in person.

I'm going to do the same thing to these ornaments, to make them feel a little more realistic. I did color these with the Shinhan markers (ShinHan Touch Twin Markers), but now adding just a little bit of that gold helps pull it together. It's just a really fun detail, and I can get carried away, because it's so much fun to use! The last thing I want to do, I think, is add a
little bit to this dress here to really jazz-up our fancy Christmas clothing. And
I think even to the present down here.

See? Like I said, you just can't stop
once you get going! It's so much fun to add that little shimmer to things. But I
really will limit myself to that, and then I think that's looking really good. I love that I was able to document all of these photos in one layout so that you can see our friendship over the years. You can see this fun tradition that we have of constantly being together, spending the holidays, and this fun Christmas party, all the different years that we've been working together and being friends.

I'm going to go ahead and add my journaling quickly, because no page is complete without the story. Okay, so there we have it! Here is the finished layout, journaling, and all ready to go into my album, and documenting friendship, the holidays... Fun, adorable products--- I love love love these thin cuts, and the fun details of the paper girls, as well as all the embellishments here that all came together from using just pieces of the Silver & Gold paper pack as well as Beary Christmas.
